This blog is about a fabulous new begining to my life. It's about my new family, my new home, and my new lifestyle. Granted moving is not the best time to start a diet blog, or a new blog, or even a diet, but like I said this is about new beginings. This weekend, as in 24 hours from now, I am moving from my beautful but way too small apartment to a FABULOUS second story flat downtown. How many boxes do I have packed? Um, about 4. And those are only seasonal items that have been packed since last Christmas. So, I guess I have accomplished nothing. This place is massive, humongous, and even gargantuan. I don't think we'll ever be able to fill it properly. The living room is 27' by 17' with two fireplaces and a tower room. There are hardwood floors throughout the entire apartment and 10 foot ceilings, windows everywhere and more than ample storage. It has a bigger kitchen which hopefully will be more conducive to making healthier meals, and it even has a bigger pantry which means I can store more healthier food.
I want to have a healthier lifestyle so that I will be around for my son for a long time. I want to be healthy so that I have the energy to chase him around and be the most fun kind of mom. I also want to drop the weight so that I can look FABULOUS for my upcoming wedding. (Are you getting the FABULOUS theme yet?) There is no official date yet, but I do want to look stunning and svelte and trim and toned so I should probably start now.
I have been on a semi-diet lately. I've been trying to eat smaller portions and healthier foods, but with the moving stress I have barely been eating. I'm not proud of that. I'm weak and scatterbrained and need to get back to my healthy ways of losing weight. I am so excited about moving into the new house though because we will be down town and there are sidewalks there. I plan on taking plenty of long walks with the baby. My son is my pride and joy and I want him to grow up with a healthy outlook on excercise and lifestyle.
Oh, and to top it all off, I have been a stay at home mom for about 5 months now, but I am reentering the workforce. Probably next monday. I should really leave myself more time to settle into the new house, but I really need the money. Thankfully it shouldn't be too hard because I am going back to the job I left 5 months ago and there will be opportunity for advancment to management hopefully.
I hope to post here everyday at least a little about my diet and excercise choices for the day, and all the fun goings on. And to start my dietiness, here are my stats:
Gah! This is going to be hard to write down.
Starting weight: 187
Current weight: 174
Total weight dropped so far: 13 pounds
Well, the total weight loss reported did cheer me up a little bit. : ) I think I am going to follow the lead of The Naked Diet Team ( http://shrinkingmom.clubmom.com/) whom I hope to join and post an update every thursday, for Official Weigh-Ins.
There are so many things I want to say right now, but I really need to get packing if I plan on packing a uhaul tomorrow morning! Maybe I will take a break later and drop another few lines. If anyone reads this, please give me a shoutout!
